I brought in my leased vehicle for a final oil change before end of lease. Service told me the rear brake pads were low and needed new rotors and the battery was going out. I never noticed a battery issue before then and never had problems. Duane told me it was on its way out during their testing and he said both the brakes and the battery would need to be replaced as part of turning in the end of lease vehicle. So I paid $1,300 for these items. The next day I had the VW authorized inspection group inspect the car and they told me they do not review/inspect brakes or batteries unless the car is dead during inspection and they further told me "they hate when the dealer does this to customers" because it was not necessary and not my responsibility. So Schumacher VW intentionally lied to me and ripped me off to the tune of $1,300. I will never buy, lease or service a vehicle with Schumacher again. It's disgusting. And they know to sue them would cost me more than $1,300 so not worth time or money. BBB and Chamber will definitely receive a complaint from me.
