Single- or Double-Motor Performance

When the VW ID.7 launches, a single-motor rear-wheel-drive model will be the sole power source under the hood. With this setup, it can churn out 282 horsepower with 402 lb-ft of torque. The proposed driving range with the 77-kWh battery pack stops at 300 miles. And it reaches 60 MPH in a little over five seconds, so hold onto your hats.

A dual-motor all-wheel-drive model should come out later when the vehicle already has been formally introduced. Some reports suggest that the range will be up to 350 miles, while others hint at 435 miles of range. Either way, this model features an 86-kWh battery pack.

Let's Look Inside, Shall We?

We procured quite a few details about the VW ID.7 interior, which sounds efficient and serene.

The spacious cabin provides room for five passengers and offers plenty of cargo space with an accessible hatchback design. A 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat makes it easy to store longer items. The cargo area starts out at 27 cubic feet and can expand to more than double at 56 cubic feet.

The front seats can be adjusted in 14 different ways and come with three amazing comfort settings. These include maximum heating, maximum ventilation, and maximum drying. You can enjoy the decadence of massage functions as well through 10 air cushions in the backrest and two in the seat.

Overhead, a gleaming panoramic sunroof can be opened through touch control or through your own vocal commands. It comes with two separate settings-opaque and transparent-to keep out the hot sun or let sunbeams shine through.

Updated Technology Features

In the center of the dashboard, you'll discover a 15-inch screen, which connects you to the outside world. To get an update of your directions from the navigation system and your current speed, among other items, the augmented reality head-up display appears on your VW ID.7 windshield.

Multiple driver-assistive systems keep you on track and out of harm's way. Standard systems like automated emergency braking and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist can be used. You'll also be given automatic high-beam headlamps for late nights on the road and adaptive cruise control to relax when you're going on a long trip.

With Park Assist and other comparable systems, you can easily parallel park your VW ID.7. Or you can use an app on your smartphone to maneuver your EV in the narrow parking spots while you observe on the sidelines.
